No doubt, winter is the hardest time to motivate and move. When temps dip and days get shorter, cuddling up on the couch seems like a great idea. Don’t get me wrong, I love a cozy movie-night in, but only AFTER my workout. This year, I decided NOT to renew my gym membership and to force myself to do something different with my fitness routine. But, that means I have to stay creative and extra disciplined to find a way each day to burn calories and stay on track.
This month I’ve teamed up with Century 21 Stores to pick out some fun new gear that goes from street to sweat in a flash, helping me look fab while staying fit. I found cool new layering pieces that will totally motivate me to gear-up for a workout, no matter what the weather may be. These pieces are perfect for a brisk bike ride, even during harsh winter months. Just remember to add extra layers to protect your skin from the wind, and it will be smooth sailing from there. To make your muscles work double-time, switch gears adding more resistance and mixing in hills to make your journey more effective. Have fun and enjoy the ride, you won’t even realize you’re working out!
