To help nourish my sun-soaked summer skin, I’ve been trying out different body and face oils instead of moisturizers for a change. Sometimes no matter how light a formula may be, body and face lotions can feel heavy in the heat. At first I was a bit hesitant to use oil on my face because that’s usually a big ‘NO, NO”! But, I gave it a try and have actually been hooked for almost a month now —without any breakouts, just smoother, softer skin.
For my face, I use a few drops of The Super Couple morning and night after cleansing. It combines a powerful anti-aging antioxidant, Astaxanthin, to fight free radicals, with one of my fave superfoods, Chia, to help combat dull, tired skin. It’s packed with omega fatty acids and minerals too to gently nourish the skin and I find that absorbs quickly so I never feel greasy. I haven’t been needing any other moisturizers on top of it except when during the day when I apply a high SPF to protect my face from harmful rays. So far I’m loving the results and I even added a body oil to my skincare regimen.
The Revitalizer Supercritical Body Oil is like a superfood for the skin. It’s made with a rich blend of chia seed oil, baobab, pumpkin, pomegranate, cranberry seed oil, marula oil and other powerhouse ingredients. And, it smells amazing, with a mix of neroli and citrus. I’ve been using it day and night to help counteract the way the sun leaves my skin after a long day of surfing or outdoor activities. And, I bet it will work the same kind of magic in the winter months too when temps are dry and cold.
There’s a few other products from the brand that I cant wait to try, but for now, I’m all about pampering myself with these two beauties.
XOXO,
NYC
