Backstage Beauty w/Artistry at #NYFW!

I’m super psyched to be partnering with Artistry Skincare again this year during New York Fashion Week! I went backstage for a sneak peek of the Pamella Roland’s S/S ‘18 collection and got the scoop on beauty prep secrets before the big reveal on the catwalk. Her pieces for this collection were inspired by a recent trip to Monaco (some of my faves below). And I chatted with Artistry’s lead makeup artist, Rick DiCecca, to see how he complemented the glitz and glam of Monaco to get a gorgeous glow on all the models for the show (below).

Rick created a makeup look that was natural, but also bold, and can can easily transition from day to night. Here’s some steps below on how to create the look.

1. PREP
   -After clarifying face with Artistry Hydra-V™ Fresh Toner treat with Artistry Hydra-V™ Vital Skin Serum Concentrate
2. FACE
   -Even out skin tone with Artistry Youth XTend™ Lifting Smoothing Foundation and Artistry Exact Fit Perfecting Concealer
   
   -Set the foundation with Artistry Exact Fit™ Perfecting Loose Powder Using the middle of the ear as a starting point, sweep Artistry Signature Color™ Blush in Peachy Pink over cheeks, starting on “apples”and sweeping back hairline and temples.
3. EYES
   -Prep lids with Artistry™ Exact Fit Perfecting Concealer in your perfect shade. Set it with Artistry Exact Fit™ Perfecting Loose Powder
   
   -Apply eye shadow in soft, tinted pinky beige from Artistry Signature Color™ Eye Quad in Pink Chocolate, under the brow arch and the inner corner of the eyes to highlight. Mix together on your eye shadow brush glowing cinnamon from the Artistry Signature Color™ Eye Quad in Natural Glow and a little bit of Artistry Exact Fit™ Perfecting Loose Powder. Apply this mixture to your eyelid from the upper lash line, over the eyelid and up to and into the crease. Be sure and buff this out in the crease with a fluffy eye shadow brush to eliminate any hard lines.-Line upper lashes using Artistry Signature Color™ Longwearing Eye Pencil in Black, from the inner corers out to where the lashes end, with a straight clean line.
   Blend deep charcoal blue from the Artistry Signature Color™ Eye Quad in Smoky over eyeliner to add depth.-Apply Artistry Signature Color™ Longwearing Eye Pencil in Graphite Shimmer to the back of your hand. Dip a small eye brush into the pencil and apply along lower lashes, follow the natural lash don’t pull it all the way into the inner eye.
   -Sweep Artistry Signature Eyes™ Length and Definition Mascara over lashes and follow with Artistry Signature Eyes™ Volume Mascara.
   
   -Groom and fill in brows with the Artistry ™ Automatic Eyebrow Pencil.
4. LIPS
   -Line and fill lips with Artistry™ Automatic LipLiner Pencil in Dusty Rose.-Next apply Artistry Signature Color™ Velvet Kiss Lip Trio in Love.-Finish with Artistry Signature Color™ Light Up Lip Gloss in Misty Mauve.
