Relax and Reset

I’m in major vacation mode at the moment! These are pics from my trip to Tulum last month, but I’m currently soaking in more sun and fun in Marco Island! (More on Insta and stories).

With all the running around that I do for work (and play), it’s important to take a break for a little R&R when I can. This trip was a mix of both with a little bit of yoga, biking, dancing, and shooting. I loved exploring Tulum to scout new photoshoot locations and hot spots for good eats and future retreat trips to Mexico.

We stayed at Habitas Tulum which was an awesome location. It was a major glamping experience and I was in heaven! The property has Canvas tents for lodging tucked away in the palm trees and a few with an ocean view too! They each have outdoor showers and bathrooms surrounded by beautiful bamboo walls and palm trees for privacy. I was a little skeptical at first to stay in a tent for our entire stay but I was pleasantly surprised by the peaceful air-conditioned rooms, with private front porches and beautiful, earthy decor. I also loved the easy breezy vibe of the entire property filled with hammocks swinging in the salty air, friendly and polite staff, live music and sunset dancing throughout the week. The food was healthy and delicious with lots of options for special dietary needs like dairy, gluten and meat free requests. 

There’s also a juice bar on the sand which was perfect for daytime snacks and refreshing drinks with a side of my fave, fresh guac and chips! Soo YUM! 

During the day we explored the town which was a short bike ride away from the property. There were a bunch of local shops and restaurants in the center of town to choose from. Everything from snack bars and lunch spots to delicious outdoor dinner festivities.

As for my outfit, I’m all about fun flirty dresses and easy pieces that can go from day to night, like this pom pom detailed off-the-should-number that can be worn as a beach coverup or for dinner or dancing after a day in the sun. I always pack a comfy shoe (or two), like this gladiator style from Earth Brands that has a super cushy sole that’s perfect for beach strolls or dancing— minus the blisters! They have easy zip-on access for quick changes, plus they’re super stylin’ and perfect for vacay! Can’t wait to plan my next adventure! More soon!
