It was a perf paradise escape and SUPER easy to travel to from NYC! We hopped off the plane and took a short drive to the resort where we were greeted with a super friendly staff, a refreshing cold towel and a welcome drink to kickoff our mini vacay! I was hooked the minute I saw that BLUE WATER glowing from the spacious lobby view!
We made our way to the Cove Suites where we were welcomed with a bucket of champagne, some fresh fruit and our own garden view room with a private pool and patio. That was one of my FAV features because the pool is just for the quests of each villa, so it felt VERY VIP, and most of the time we had it all to ourselves, which I LOVED!
Our room was spacious and airy, and the bathroom was bigger than my apt in NYC! Lol … It had a beautiful free-standing bathtub with open sliding doors that lead to a view of the garden and the BLUE Caribbean Sea! And the roomy walk-in closets were key for me because I brought so many outfits and accessories that I was dying to unpack!
The first thing I did after settling in was head out to check out the different beaches and water sports! There were so many fun activities like standup paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling, sailing, pedal boats and more—right up my alley! We took a standup paddleboard out for a spin at sunset one night and it was AMAZE! It’s super easy to learn too, so don’t be intimidated if you’re a first timer, I’d highly recommend taking a lesson and giving it a try! Before you know if you’ll be flipping up-side-down and practicing headstands and new tricks on the board like me!
Before dinner they have rum and wine tastings! And the mixology class is an awesome experience too where we were able to make a variety of cocktails ourself! And, if you love wine like me, then the wine tasting session is a MUST. We learned so much about different blends and pairings from the knowledgeable staff and it was very easy to absorb the info! Usually I’m a little lost when it comes to that, but this was a breeze to learn from and follow. And every sip we sampled was delsih!
Downtime is just as important to me as all the sporty activities that I do, so a spa sesh was def on my todo list! I had a relaxing full-body massage that helped sooth my sore legs from all my running workouts. It was a perfectly peaceful experience and just what I needed to get my muscles fully relaxed. I even got some much-needed shoulder work done which was welcomed after all that paddle boarding the day before!
On days I didn’t spend doing water sports, yoga, or aqua aerobics, a morning run or cardio/weight-raining sesh led by one of the fitness trainers (Daniel) was another great option to keep me on track with my fitness routine. For me it’s super important to stay active even at a luxury resort! And having expert trainers on staff to help give that extra push makes getting motivated a breeze.
With all the movement that I do, I never feel guilty about indulging in delicious meals! Blue Waters had PLENTY of that! They have 6 restaurants and bars, which is a lot for an all inclusive! So we could basically eat somewhere new each day! Between a la Carte and full dinner menus, there was so much to choose from. My fav was the Cove Restaurant overlooking the water with amazing fish dishes. Also BBQ night at the Palm is delish and such a fun event. There’s also live music /bands with amazing steel drum playing at night by the Pelican Bar near the lobby. It’s the Perf place to have a late-night cocktail and a little dancing.
I had a such a blast and wished we could have stayed longer but we will DEF back for another trip very soon! The staff was so welcoming and helpful, and we can’t wait to visit again!
‘Til next time, BLUE WATERS!
Such amazing photos! Looks like a beautiful place.
