Age is Just a Number!

Age is just a number…right?!
They say you’re only as old as you feel! And most days I’m like the energizer bunny and could play all day (if I had the time)!

One of my fave ways to play is paddle ball on the beach! It’s one of the best ways to get your heart rate up and tone your arms and legs, all while having fun in the sun. And depending on how hard you work, you can totally tone your core too! So far my highest score is 135 hits without dropping the ball with my paddle partner!

But let’s be honest… society still puts a lot of pressure on women, especially, when it comes to age. It’s one of the reasons why we started @offthegrampodcast – some said we shouldn’t be “influencers” in our 30s and 40s. But Isn’t that the whole point? As we go through our journey of life, we mature and we gain knowledge and insight to share with others! And if we can continue to look damn good while doing it, all the more reason to share the deets on how that works!

Today I’m super psyched to share our latest Off The Gram episode with a *very* special guest, @joanlunden!  She’s an award-winning journalist, best-selling author, motivational speaker, successful entrepreneur, one of America’s most recognized and trusted television personalities, and mother of seven… including our very own, @nycfitfam!!

Her audience followed along on her life’s adventures, from first baby to first grandchild, and no one exemplifies aging gracefully and fearlessly like she does. She redefines “embraces life at every age & every stage.” Joan has Bungee jumped in Australia, flown in an F-18 fighter jet, held plutonium in her hands, and – perhaps scariest of all – navigated “aging” on the public stage – and now she’s written a book about it.

 Her new book, “Why Did I Come in This Room?” is “A Candid Conversation on Aging” meant to remove embarrassment over the aging process, and we can’t wait to share her unique perspective on it all!
